A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from mates or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

Creating a catch-all mailbox will be surprisingly easy in case you’ve got a shared web hosting plan with us. You can activate the feature through our powerful, albeit easy-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an essential part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your web hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you’ve created listed in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately inform you if a specific mailbox receives all the messages pertaining to a given domain or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this option whenever you want. In case there’s enabled email forwarding or if a different mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a given domain name, you’ll receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t replace/disable anything automatically and without your permission.
